Occupation of people over 16 in employment in East Grampian Coast and Scotland 2001-22

Key Findings

Between 2001 and 2022 the number of people employed in 'Management' and 'Process Plant and Machine Operatives' decreased. The number of people working in 'Professional Occupations' increase significantly along with 'Personnel Services'.    

Compared to the overall Scottish occupational make-up, East Grampian residents had a broadly similar range of occupations. Professional, Technical and Administrative sectors in East Grampian were slightly above the national average while Sales and Caring/Leisure were slightly below the national average.

These figures have been taken from census records relating to selected coastal wards.
