King Street Air Quality
Despite being a major thoroughfare road north, being connected to the A90, King Street has recorded an average annual NO2 concentration (fig. 15) of at least 15 µg m-3 below the threshold since records began in 2009. Additionally, PM2.5 (fig. 17) readings have been well below the recommended concentration since 2017, although have increased overall by 1 µg m-3 between 2017-2023. PM10 readings (fig. 16) have shown a more varied trend, falling below the 18 µg m-3 threshold in 2008 and 2009, then peaking at 20 µg m-3 in 2011, before falling once again to reach 12 µg m-3 in 2023.
