Union Street Air Quality
Despite being one of the the most regularly busy roads in the city, the pollutant concentrations for Union Street on average fall within the recommended limits. NO2 (fig. 6) and PM10 (fig. 7) readings both show a clear downward trend since 2005, with PM10 crossing into safe concentrations in 2015, and NO2 following soon after in 2018. PM2.5 (fig. 8) is only recorded at dangerous levels in 2015 and has since maintained safe levels. (All data from Scottish Government, 2021).
